Profile of Keith R. Hafner

Keith Hafner has been a small business owner since 1979.

At the age of 22 he purchased his first business, a martial art school in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

After teaching thousands of adults and kids, Master Hafner began to observe that learning Martial Arts would sometimes develop high self-esteem and good behavior skills in children.

At that time, this improvement seemed to happen accidentally, rather than by design. Soon after, Master Hafner began to ask the question, “What if we made the self-esteem skills and the good behavior skills the goal of the Martial Art instruction?"

Over the next decade, Master Hafner refined and improved his strategies and developed a system of teaching these strategies to Martial Art teachers.  The school, now named "Keith Hafner's Karate,"  has grown to become one of the largest in the world, setting several records in the martial arts industry.

Keith has been the subject of numerous magazine and newspaper articles, and is often called upon to speak to and consult with other businesses, both in and out of the martial arts field.  In 1995, he was inducted into the Educational Funding Company Hall of Fame for success in the martial arts business.

Keith is the author of several books, including "How to Build Rock Solid Kids," "The Ultimate Collection" and "Street Smart Self-Defense." Additionally, he is the author of the column, "Message From The Master," and "The Rock Solid Kids Newsletter." Keith's most recent work is "Small Business Mastery," a complete system for teaching small business owners how to be successful.

Currently, Keith maintains a "coaching group" of martial art school owners. Through one-on-one consulting, group meetings, phone consultations and other methods, Keith teaches these business owners strategies and systems to grow their businesses to new and exciting levels.
